4. Annealing
There are two commonly used annealing methods: batch annealing and continuous annealing. However, in general, the process is as follows:
- After cold rolling, the steel becomes hard and brittle, and its grains elongate in the direction of rolling.
- To achieve a specific grain structure and improve mechanical properties, the material is reheated in a furnace and undergoes a cycle of rapid heating and cooling.

5. Skin Pass
